Climate Change in Western NY

Come learn real science from a real scientist. WB Chat #3 is coming Thursday evening, October 24th at the West Bloomfield Congregational Church. Professor Fred Stoss (SUNY at Buffalo) will present data and solutions about climate change effects in our neighborhood--the Finger Lakes region and Genesee River Basin. Fred studied under Al Gore in 2007 and is an accredited Al Gore Climate Messenger. A full professor in zoology and library sciences, Fred did his thesis on acid rain in western NY, and worked on carbon dioxide at the Oak Ridge Laboratory in Knoxville, TN. He has led five international workshops on climate change. The event is free and open to the public. Registration and refreshments begin at 6:30pm; Fred's talk at 7pm. Q&A session to follow. Whatever you think you know about climate change, come have it reinforced or tested. Fred knows more about it than your neighbor does.
